Who this policy covers
This is the privacy policy for the Enimates website at enimates.com and Enimates Switchboard, our private social publishing tool. Enimates operates both. Switchboard is used only by the Enimates account owner and authorised adult operators; it is not a public app or a service for children.

Our website and email updates
We do not ask children to provide a name, age, birthday, school, feelings, behaviour, photos or voice. Our read-along and story pages have no sign-up form, advertising trackers or analytics code.
On clearly labelled grown-ups pages, adults can provide an email address and, optionally, a first name and whether they are a parent, carer or educator. We ask for adult confirmation before the form and email confirmation before sending updates. We use these details to send the updates requested. We do not sell or rent subscriber details or use them for advertising.
We keep subscription information while you subscribe. After an unsubscribe, we keep the address on a do-not-mail list for up to two years to prevent accidental mail, then delete it. Website server logs are kept briefly for security and then purged.
We use no advertising or analytics cookies on our website. The site can remember preferences such as sound and animations in your browser. A grown-up gate can remember for a day that it has been passed.
Enimates Switchboard and Pinterest
Switchboard connects our existing @enimatesfriends Pinterest business account to our private publishing workflow. An authorised adult chooses each Pin, its content and destination board, and approves its publication or schedule. Pinterest access levels and account settings determine where published Pins are visible.
Information used. Pinterest authorisation provides access and refresh tokens and permission information. Switchboard stores these on its server to maintain the authorised connection. It also stores an account reference, the board identifiers selected for publishing, the original artwork or video and captions supplied by our operators, publication schedules, and publishing results such as Pin identifiers, links and errors. Approved Pinterest permissions may allow Switchboard to read the connected account's basic information, boards and Pins to support this workflow.
Purpose and limits. We use this information to connect the account, send individually approved Pins to the chosen boards, maintain the connection and diagnose publishing problems. Switchboard does not ask for or store a Pinterest password. This connection is for our own account; it is not used to collect other Pinners' profiles, messages or contacts. We do not sell Pinterest data or use it to train AI models. AI assistance may be used to prepare our own original content outside Pinterest.
Storage and access. Switchboard runs on Cloudflare, which hosts its application and stores connection credentials and publishing records. Access to the publishing tool is restricted to authorised operators. Credentials stay on the server and are not included in public posts. Pinterest receives the media, text and board information needed to publish the Pins we approve.
Retention and disconnection. We retain connection credentials while needed for an authorised connection, and publishing records while needed to operate the account and resolve publishing issues. You can revoke Switchboard's access through Pinterest's connected-app settings. Revocation stops further authorised access but does not itself delete records already held by Enimates or Pins already on Pinterest. To request removal of stored credentials or account information, email privacy@enimates.com. We verify the request and remove information no longer needed, subject to any applicable legal or security requirements. Pins on Pinterest can be managed through Pinterest.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the Enimates website and Switchboard. Kit sends our email updates. YouTube hosts our videos and supplies aggregate audience statistics. Pinterest provides the account connection and Pin publication service described above. These providers receive the information needed to perform their respective services; their own privacy policies also explain how they handle data.

Your choices and children’s information
You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any update. For access, correction or deletion requests about the website, email list or Switchboard, contact us below. If you believe a child has given us personal information, tell us so we can remove it. Enimates is educational and is not medical advice.
